Terms of Use

By accessing and using any website, application, or service owned and operated by me, Timonwa Akintokun (collectively referred to as "my websites" or "my services" throughout this document), including but not limited to timonwa.com and its subdomains, newsletters, blog and video content, demo projects, open source repositories, and digital shops, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use my services.

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials on my websites for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• Modify or copy the materials
• Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial)
• Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on my websites
• Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by me at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

I offer newsletter subscriptions through multiple channels, including Substack and my own mailing list. By subscribing to any of my newsletters, you agree to the following:

• You consent to receiving periodic emails containing articles, updates, promotions, and other content from me
• You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in every email
• Newsletters delivered via Substack are subject to Substack's Terms of Service

If you provide your name and email through any of my demo projects or interactive applications, you may be added to my newsletter mailing list. You will always have the option to unsubscribe from these communications.

My websites use Giscus, a GitHub-based commenting system, to enable discussions on blog posts and other content. By leaving a comment, you agree that:

• You must have a GitHub account to comment, and your comment will be publicly visible as a GitHub Discussion
• Your comment is subject to both this Terms of Use and GitHub's Terms of Service
• You will not post content that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, or violates any applicable laws
• I reserve the right to remove or moderate comments that violate these terms

I sell digital products and courses through third-party platforms including Gumroad, Buy Me A Coffee, Selar, and Lemon Squeezy. By purchasing any digital product or course, you agree that:

• All purchases are processed through the respective third-party platform and are subject to their terms and refund policies
• Digital products are for personal use only and may not be redistributed, resold, or shared without explicit permission
• Course materials, templates, and other paid content are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed
• I am not responsible for issues related to payment processing handled by third-party platforms

I may host demo projects and interactive applications for educational and demonstration purposes. When using these projects:

• Some demo projects may collect information such as your name and email address for functionality purposes
• Information collected through demo projects may be used to add you to my newsletter mailing list, from which you can unsubscribe at any time
• Demo projects are provided "as is" for educational purposes and may be modified or removed at any time without notice
• You agree not to misuse demo projects by submitting false, harmful, or excessive data

My websites and content (including blog posts, newsletters, and video content) may contain affiliate links, sponsored content, or sponsorships. Please be aware that:

• I may earn a commission if you purchase a product or service through an affiliate link, at no additional cost to you
• Sponsored posts and content will be clearly identified as such
• I only recommend products and services that I genuinely believe may be useful, but I make no guarantees about third-party products or services
• Affiliate relationships do not influence the editorial integrity of my content

I make no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaim and negate all other warranties including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

Further, I do not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on my websites or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to my websites.

In no event shall I, Timonwa Akintokun, or any suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on my websites, even if I or an authorized representative have been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

The materials appearing on my websites could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. I do not warrant that any of the materials on my websites are accurate, complete, or current. I may make changes to the materials at any time without notice. However, I do not make any commitment to update the materials.

My websites showcase freelance software development and technical writing services. Any project inquiries, consultations, or service agreements are subject to separate contracts and terms that will be negotiated and agreed upon individually.

The portfolio and case studies displayed on my websites are for demonstration purposes and may include work done for clients under confidentiality agreements. No guarantee is made that similar results will be achieved for future projects.
